Easter morning, weeping on her way to the tomb, Mary Magdalen, was the first to experience Jesus Christ, risen from the dead. She wanted to cling to Him, but He protested. If she had been allowed to remain clinging to Him, she would have been clinging to His former self, unable to receive His Spirit. Instead, He commissioned her to be an evangelist to His apostles and be the bearer of good news. The apostles were to share this good news with all people to the ends of the earth. We now, an Easter people, forgiven as we forgive others, are entrusted to share this GOOD NEWS with the people in our lives.
He is not here, He has risen, as He said!
